Where the Pavement end

This project is a visual response to the raw and restless energy of Daido Moriyama’s street photography. Inspired by his self-described identity as a “stray dog” roaming the city, I adopted urban street signs as symbolic design elements—fragments of the street that mirror his instinctive, grainy, and untamed photographic style.

The project began with the design of a monograph that traces Moriyama’s life, philosophy, and photographic journey. Building upon this foundation, I extended the same visual language to an exhibition poster and a series of conceptual merchandise. Together, they form a cohesive system that channels the tension, texture, and poetry of Moriyama’s streets—unfiltered and unapologetically alive.
